Life as of lately...

Life as of lately has been pretty great. It is sometimes crazy, busy and tiring but it always is worth it! Levi turned 7 months at the end of this week. But right before he did, he got in his first tooth!

I never thought I could be so happy about a human having a tooth be a 'tiny' bit visible. But Ryan and I were high-fiving and so thrilled to see that our little baby had his first tooth.

I guess we are both still in shock to have Levi. We have always wanted kids. I have always known I wanted children, as long as I can remember. When I met Ryan, he made it very clear he wanted to have children too. Then we got pregnant with Landon and when he was born 'sleeping' it just crushed us. So to go from dreaming about having kids together, to giving birth to a sleeping baby and now to having this amazing baby boy in front of us; we just are so extremely happy.

We are looking forward to taking him to Red, White & Boom this year. It will be his first fireworks of any kind. Plus, who doesn't love people watching down town?

We hope everyone is enjoying the warm weather. Have to cut it short because someone has woken up and is wanting Mommy milk :)

Update on ohio life

Well, we have been in Ohio for almost 2 complete months. We are trying to spend every bit of time we can as a family and that feels so good. We are using this time away from the army as a time to refocus our lives and spend every bit of time with Levi. We missed out on everything with Landon. So this time around, we are spending every moment we can with him.

He is working on saying Momma and Daddy, but right now it is still just babbling. I think I say 'Momma' about a hundred times a day to him. lol. The picture above is from his 5 month photo shoot. I love this picture because he looks so innocent and perfect in it.

Ryan is staying super busy with college. At least one night a week, he ends up staying up till 2 or 3 am.  Plus 2 nights a week he has class he has to attend online and participate in. He is taking quite a few hard classes this term and they require a lot of reading. Nevertheless, he does not love the classes this semester. :)

I keep myself busy with Levi and Megz Vinyl. I always told myself growing up that even after marriage and kids, I would do whatever job made me happy. I can honestly say that right now, being a Momma is the best job I could ever imagine. I will finish my Interpreting degree but right now, being a Momma is my full time job and I am loving it.

Coming up... This summer Ryan and I will run our first 5k ever. Levi will also get to take swimming lessons. We will also be on our first flight as a family in July to see our friends get married in Oregon. Life sure does keep us busy but we are enjoying it!

Our 'Ohio Adventure'

Family Goals for 2013 while we are on our 'Ohio Adventure'

*Teach Levi how to sign very proficiently in ASL.
*Learn a new word to sign each week together.
*Donate blood- I have never donated before!
*Go camping for a weekend as a whole family- Levi nor I have ever been 'real' camping.
*Train for a charity run together, while pushing Levi in his stroller.
*Ryan and I want to run in the Color Me Rad 5k in Columbus, Ohio.
*Ryan wants to graduate college with a 4.0!
*I want to run a half marathon!
*With Ryan’s design skills and my creativity, we want to create a recipe book with Granny of all her famous recipes that our family loves.
*Get our concealed weapons permits- I also want Ryan teach me to be able to shoot as an ‘expert’ by Army standards!
*See a drive-in movie- Levi nor I have ever been to one!
*Have a family weekend at a cabin in Hocking Hills.
*Go zip lining in Hocking Hills for a date!
*Achieve our weightless goals.
*Go apple picking at Papa's house as a family!
*Go to Dawes Arboretum- Levi nor I have ever been. (1800 acres of land that is covered in gardens)
*Take Levi to Cedar Point for the first time! (The roller coaster capital of the world)
*Take Levi to Kings Island for the first time! (The largest water and roller coaster amusement in the Midwest)

As most of you know, we will be having a bit of a northern adventure for a little under a year. Ryan will be finishing up the last bit of his business degree and then is 'going officer' in the Army. So, we figured why not make Ohio exciting and set some family goals.

We are excited and as you can tell, have some great adventures ahead of us!!
